Peacock Commision

Work in progress for a new commission. This piece is not for print so I am experimenting with metallic papers, I may even crack out a little glitter! This is going to be a rather regal peacock. There is still a lot to do, but i'm looking forward to seeing the end results!

Morriston Hospital Project

You could be forgiven for thinking that I had dropped off the face of the Earth, it's been so long since I last posted anything! But be reassured I have been busy, working on a project that I am very excited to now tell you about ...

I have been asked by the lovely people at Artinsite to be involved in creating artwork to decorate the walls and corridors of a brand new paediatrics ward at Morriston Hospital on the outskirts of Swansea.

Above are just a couple of sneak peaks at some of the characters that will be featured on the walls.

I will explain more in future posts so keep your eyes peeled for more tasters from this project.

Hello!

As the title above says it's that time of year again and we are all getting ready for christmas! Now do you have your christmas cards yet??

This time last year I designed a couple of charity christmas cards for St Johns Wales. Take a look at them here http://www.stjohnwales.co.uk/christmas/ you can buy both of my designs "Polar Bear Presents and polar Mistletoe" in packs of 10 from this website and all proceeds will go to St Johns Wales. Helping them to carry on with their life saving work!

The Jungle Book

I am trying to build my portfolio at little at the moment, and it's giving me a chance to play and practice using paper and collage. I’ve really enjoyed working on this cover, creating different leaf shapes and mixing the different shades of green.

I'm really pleased with the outcome of this cover. In my next post I’m hoping that I will have some images of this cover and the James and the Giant Peach cover on book mock-ups!

As always feel free to give any feedback on my work :)

James & the Giant Peach

Here’s a little piece of work that I have been having a stab at. It's a book cover for James & The Giant Peach, which I used to love when I was little. The image is of the scene that has stuck in my mind the most from when I had the book read to me when I was little. Hope you like it!
